Just a girl from Chilltown Jersey City with big dreams =)
Born & raised right across NYC’s Hudson River in Jersey City, NJ, my childhood days were spent playing outside with friends or spending time indoors with family, while watching TV, playing video games, or listening to the radio. A literal child of the 90’s.. (best decade ever?!)
My career path became more apparent the moment I was hired as Accounting Manager for an AdTech startup company in NYC. At this point, I was mid-level in my Accounting career, yet I felt as if I had more potential to contribute somehow. Working in this space inspired me to really push forward and accomplish my lifelong dream of a career in Advertising. Hence, I made a personal decision to obtain a Master’s Degree in a field I was most passionate about: Marketing/Advertising.
It’s a feeling parallel to what I experienced growing up; from cheering on the sidelines for our sports teams to actually playing on the basketball court. Watching the games closely, & later being able to actually play, developed my love and appreciation for sports.
Apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree 😉
Overall, I feel it is of utmost importance to stay true to one’s self & honor all past experiences in order to prepare for the best version that one can be, and ultimately… Live our best life!! Even if it means watching from the sidelines first, before diving in.
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So, you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” -Steve Jobs, 2005 commencement speech at Stanford University.
If you have made it this far, thank you for reading and following along this journey!
